Using the Monitor Recovery Assessment, MuscleSound technology helps a patient understand his MuscleHealth on his way back from a knee replacement surgery.

History:

Patient is 5-weeks post total right knee replacement.  He completed several lower body and core exercises, 10 minutes on stationary bike, and 5 minutes walking backwards on the treadmill just prior to his Muscle Fuel assessment.

MuscleSound Analysis:

The Muscle Fuel Symmetry (measurement) shows a significant disparity between Left and Right Rectus Femori (RF).  Since the knee injury and operation, the Right RF has not yet regained fuel retention capabilities.

Result:

The Physical Therapist will continue to monitor the patient’s progress via periodic Muscle Fuel assessments. Results will be paralleled to treatments allowing the practitioner to tailor rehabilitation strategies according to responsiveness to attain most efficient recovery possible.
